Bio: I work as a curator at the herbarium of the Royal Horticultural Society based at RHS Garden Wisley. The RHS herbarium specialises in cultivated plant diversity and contains dried plant specimens with their accompanying photographs, paintings, fruits, seeds and collectors’ notes. My role involves managing and researching the current collection through to planning future additions, along with helping at RHS Shows & Events and collaborative exhibitions. My primary expertise is in herbarium management and for many years I coached this subject, particularly for Kew’s Herbarium Techniques Course. With Donna Young and Lauren Gardiner, I’m currently working towards revising the ‘Herbarium Handbook’. I also maintain an interest in the Flora of West and Central Africa and am on the council of the Systematics Association.
